Many homeowners want their dogs to run off leash on their property. To do this, good fencing is needed.

There are physical fences and underground invisible fences. Let’s discuss them both.

As long as they are high enough so your dog can’t jump over them and they lock securely, physical fences are great options. These come in different materials such as wood, metal, or vinyl. Physical fences keep your dog on your property and keep other dogs from entering your property and causing harm to your dog. Just make sure to check for holes that your dog may be digging under the fence to get out.

Invisible fences are popular because they are aesthetically pleasing. But there are some cautions to consider. For one thing, nothing prevents another animal from coming onto your property. Also, a dog can run past the fence line. They might get shocked, but it might be worth it to them to get across. If there is an electrical outage or the batteries in your dog’s collar die, the fence is compromised.

You want to keep your furry friend safe. Choosing the right fence for your property is important.
